One of the leading global hospitality companies, Hilton, has recently opened its 100th Hilton Garden Inn in the Greater China region. The new property, Hilton Garden Inn Beihai Jiafu, is situated in the vibrant seaport city of Beihai in China. The 199-room hotel is conveniently located only 2km away from the Beihai High-Speed Railway Station and 6km from Beihai Fucheng Airport, making it easily accessible for travelers. In addition, it is just a short 20-minute drive to Beihai International Passenger Port.
Qian Jin, the President of Hilton Greater China and Mongolia, expressed his excitement about the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Beihai Jiafu, stating that it not only showcases the brand’s growth in the Chinese market, but also reflects their long-term commitment to the country. This sentiment was shared in a press release on December 13th.
Hilton’s first Hilton Garden Inn property in China was opened in Shenzhen in 2014, and since then, the brand has expanded to several other cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guilin, and Aksu. The expansion of the brand is set to continue, with more Hilton Garden Inn properties expected to open in China by 2025. These new properties will include debuts in popular tourist destinations such as Zhangjiajie, Ordos, Huangshan, Shanwei, and Jinan.
Hilton’s plans to double its mid-market presence in the Asia Pacific (Apac) region by 2025. This goal will include the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Gen A properties, which will cater to the needs of Generation Alpha travelers in Greater China. The first locations for this regional prototype have been announced in Nanjing, Chengdu, Chengde, and Jinan, with more to come.
These new developments will contribute to the expansion of Hilton Garden Inn across the wider Asia Pacific region. Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President of Development for Asia Pacific at Hilton, shared that over 200 Hilton Garden Inn properties are currently under development in Apac. With this growth, Hilton is well on its way to establishing a strong presence in the mid-market segment across the region.
